European stock market: fell to a four-month low

European stock markets fell on Thursday, affected by several companies' weak performance and financial results, and data showed that the euro zone manufacturing output unexpectedly fell in February.
Pan-European STOXX 600 index .STOXX closed down 0.3%, Germany DAX index. GDAX rose 0.2%, France CAC 40 index. FCHI was flat.
The UK's FTSE 100 index closed down 0.85%.
The survey showed that the manufacturing output of the Eurozone unexpectedly shrank in February, as German manufacturing activity fell again, affected by trade frictions and auto industry problems. “People are still generally worried about the performance of the European economy in recent months,” said Michael Hewson, chief market analyst at CMC Markets.
However, the STOXX 600 index is still approaching the highest for more than four months as investors are optimistic about the progress of Sino-US trade negotiations. The index has risen 10% so far this year.
